A Message from the Principal

Our school theme in 2024 is

TOGETHER WE SHINE

We have Intervention programs (English & Maths) that assist not only those who struggle with their learning, but also those that need to be extended, challenged and further stimulated in their learning outside the typical classroom setting. All children will also have 7 Specialist classes each week in 2024.  There would be few schools in Melbourne that would have this subject offering at a primary school (Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Physical Education, LOTE-Mandarin, Discovery Centre (Library), S.T.E.M, Digital Technologies). 

As Principal of St. Francis Xavier School I have high expectations of myself, all my staff and all my students.

It is through the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of our forty staff that all children are challenged to work at their full potential at SFX School.

Students - Teachers- Parents - Parish need to come together in true partnership and work with each other as a positive educational community. Whilst there is already a great sense of connection with all the stakeholders at our school,  this is also something that can be further developed in 2024, after being so segregated after our COVID years.

As a school we need to continually challenge ourselves to be the best school we can be. Our main aim is to become the school of choice in the Montmorency area,  offering exceptional education that progresses all children in their learning and creating the leaders of tomorrow.

May God grant us grace and blessings as we venture with faith, courage and commitment into the 2024 school year.
